Yakupov came to North America for Junior because he wants to play in the best league in the world.

So did Radulov

Could be a ploy from management to mitigate the damage caused by them trading down and not taking the most talented player in the draft.

It wouldn't shock anyone at this point to see them trade down to help fast track their way to success a little.

There is a lot of hype coming with Yakupov and they may see it as a chance to cash in.

He hasn't made any real moves but I feel the pressure is on him to do something this year. And I think that #1 pick is too big of an item for him or this team to handle right now in a trade.

Not going to both and waste my time with it IF he leaves. Right now it looks more likely that he will stay with the things he has been saying. Not to mention NJ just finished runner ups, why leave? What are you going to do when Edmonton keeps losing because there management hasn't figured out what it takes to win. Defense.

It is if you are planning on going ahead with another year or two of rebuild and you don't have another option for coach in your backpocket. I am just starting to get nervous with leaving Renney dangling and then no coach signed yet.
